What the seva is
This is a weekly Tuesday seva held after the second bell. Priests recite the 108 names of the Lord and offer a golden lotus at his feet for each name. Worship then extends to Goddesses Lakshmi and Padmavati and ends with Ratha Harati and Harati.
TTD says it began in 1984, in its Golden Jubilee year, when a Muslim devotee gifted 108 gold lotuses (official TTD News item). Devotees regard it as a seva for blessings and prosperity.
Cost and prasadam
The cost is Rs 1,250 per ticket in most third-party sources. Prasadam reported is a vastra and sathari, 2 large laddus and 2 vadas. The number of persons per ticket is not clearly stated, and one source says it is priced per individual.
Who can book and how
You need an Indian mobile number and OTP. Aadhaar is used for registration and NRIs use a passport (2024 report). Up to 2 tickets per pilgrim is reported.
A UNI report of 17 October 2026 lists this seva with Suprabhatam, Thomala and Archana in the e-Dip lucky draw. A 2024 blog also mentions leftover tickets at the CRO office on Mondays at 6 AM, but this is unconfirmed for 2026.
The release is around the 18th-19th of the month, about three months ahead. For January 2027 the dip opened on 19 October at 10 AM, with registration to 21 October at 10 AM and payment from 21 to 23 October noon. It is a lottery, and bookings are reported as final with no refund unless TTD cancels.
