What this darshan is
The Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple at Tiruchanur (also spelt Tiruchanoor) is dedicated to the consort of Lord Venkateswara. Many pilgrims visit it as part of the Tirupati and Tirumala trip.
Entry is free through the general queue. TTD also sells a paid Special Entry Darshan ticket for the temple. It gives a shorter queue and is sold in monthly quotas on the official TTD booking portal.
Cost and who can take it
In every 2026 listing found, from the March quota to the September quota, the Special Entry Darshan was priced at Rs 200 per devotee. You may see a Rs 500 figure on some websites. That belongs to the older virtual Kalyanotsavam ticket from 2021 and is not the darshan price.
Any devotee holding a booked ticket can use it. Whether laddu or prasadam is included was not found, so check the ticket page when you book. Children below 12 are reported to be allowed free with their parents, but this comes from third-party sources only.
Original photo ID matching the booking is expected at entry. Indian pilgrims should carry Aadhaar. The number of tickets allowed per login was not found.
When tickets are released
TTD opens the next month's quota online, typically around the 24th of the previous month at 10:00 AM. Past examples: the July 2026 quota opened on 24 June 2026, the June 2026 quota on 25 May and the March 2026 quota on 24 February.
The dates are announced through TTD press releases and the TTD website, so watch those a few days before the 24th. Tickets are reported to go quickly for Fridays, weekends and auspicious days, so log in a little early.
On the day
Go to the Tiruchanur temple and join the Special Entry queue. The gate name and the slot timing were not found, so read your ticket and follow the temple staff on arrival.
Traditional dress is generally expected in TTD temples, and mobile phones and cameras are generally not allowed inside. These are general TTD practice and have not been verified for this particular ticket.
The total time inside was not found. Keep a flexible morning or evening so you are not rushed.
Best time and festival dates
Daily temple timings and the free darshan routes could not be confirmed from reliable sources, so check the official TTD site before you travel.
Karthika Brahmotsavam at Tiruchanur runs from 5 to 14 December 2026. Expect heavy crowds and changes to special tickets in those days. On Ratha Saptami in 2026, services such as Kalyanotsavam, Kumkumarchana, break darshan and Unjal Seva at the temple were cancelled, which shows that special tickets can be affected on festival days.
