What Kalyanotsavam is
Kalyanotsavam is a ceremonial wedding of the festival deity Sri Malayappa Swami with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi. It follows Vaikhanasa Agama rites and begins with Panchamurthi Puja. It lasts about an hour.
Couples and families attend to witness the wedding. It is a daily Arjitha Seva.
Cost, who can attend and prasadam
A ticket costs Rs 1,000 and covers two adults. You log in with an Indian mobile number and OTP, and you need original photo ID. One ticket per login is reported.
Prasadam differs by source. A blog lists a vastra (cloth), one large laddu and two small laddus. A 2013 table lists 2 big laddus, 2 vadas, 5 small laddus, a cotton upper cloth and a blouse piece. Rules for children under 12 conflict between sources, so see the confirmation list below.
For newly married couples, a blog reports 20 tickets daily at the CRO office in Tirumala, issued a day ahead, 10 AM-5 PM. Carry Aadhaar, the wedding invitation and photos. The ticket is to be used within a week of the marriage.
How booking works
Unlike the early-morning sevas, this one is a direct online purchase, not a lucky dip. It is released a few days after the e-Dip, around the 21st-22nd of the month, about three months ahead. The November 2026 quota was released on 21 August and the December 2026 quota on 22 September. The January 2027 date was not visible in the sources. Announcements appear on news.tirumala.org.
Tickets are reported to sell out quickly. Bookings are reported as final, with a refund only if TTD cancels.
On the day
Report at Supadham about an hour before the seva. A 2026 sample receipt shows a 10:00 AM report, and the seva runs about 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, according to a blog. Bring the printed ticket and original photo ID.
Men wear a dhoti with an upper cloth, shirt off. Women wear a saree or a Punjabi dress with a dupatta.
A blog says pilgrims join the general queue after the seva, and darshan takes about 15 minutes. This is not confirmed officially. The seva is not held on major festival days (Brahmotsavam, Pavitrotsavam, Pushpayagam) or eclipse days.
