Arunachalam Golden Temple Kanchipuram package

Sripuram Golden Temple at Vellore
Sripuram, on the outskirts of Vellore, houses the Sri Lakshmi Narayani temple, covered in gold-plated panels and surrounded by a star-shaped path and gardens. The temple is reported open about 8 am to 8 pm, with entry free and a paid fast queue at weekends. Phones and shoes are kept in storage counters. Reach Vellore by about 8 am for a quiet start. A Tirupati to Vellore cab takes about 2 hours 45 minutes.
Arunachaleswarar temple, Tiruvannamalai
The Arunachaleswarar temple is a vast Shiva temple complex with four tall gateway towers, associated with the element of fire. The hill beside it is circled by pilgrims on a barefoot walk of about 14 km (Girivalam) on full-moon days and at other times. After checking in, you can visit the temple in the evening; many prefer the quieter early morning on day two. The Ramana Maharshi Ashram is a short drive away. Temple hours are listed differently across sources, so ask locally.
Kanchipuram on the way home
From Tiruvannamalai the road runs about 95 km to Kanchipuram. Reach by about 10:30 am to catch both the Kamakshi Amman and Ekambareswarar temples before their midday break. Kamakshi Amman is dedicated to the goddess, while Ekambareswarar is the Shiva shrine of earth. Silk shops line the streets. Leave by about 2 pm for Tirupati, arriving in the evening. Temple entry and any tickets are always handled by you at each site.
Planning the two days
The order of the places is chosen so that the longest drive happens early in the day while the roads are clear, and so that Sripuram is seen in cool morning light. If you would rather include Tirumala, the Tirumala Tiruvannamalai and Tirumala Vellore Kanchipuram packages are the closer fit. This one is for travellers who have already visited Tirumala or want to concentrate on Tamil Nadu temples.
Carry a light shawl, cash for footwear stands and offerings, and enough water. The stay at Tiruvannamalai is booked directly by you, and rooms are scarce on full-moon weekends. Starting the second day before sunrise lets you finish the temple visit before the heat.
